The ASSET project actively participated in efforts to bolster policy support for young farmers through parliamentary collaboration in Laos. From April 9 to 11, Luang Prabang hosted the Commission for Economic, Social, and Environmental Affairs. This event, organized by FAO and the Assemblée Parlementaire de la Francophonie with support from CIRAD through the ASSET and ALiSEA projects, gathered 20 parliamentarians from nine countries. Key discussions and field visits centered on advancing agroecological practices, promoting sustainability, and strengthening policy frameworks to support young farmers.
