Newly published: Annotated Bibliography on Evaluating Living Labs

“Living Labs (LLs) are open innovation ecosystems in real-life environments using iterative feedback processes throughout a lifecycle approach of an innovation to create sustainable impact.” (https://enoll.org/about-us/) Some DeSIRA projects are actively developing living labs; and upon reading the definition it is safe to say that many other projects are doing the same but without referring to their work under this label. At least one project has expressed an interest in evaluating their living labs.

There is a growing body of literature on the characteristics of living labs, as well as an opportunity to link those experiences with collaborative approaches to monitoring, evaluation and learning. This annotated bibliography is work-in-progress: making linkages between living labs MEL requirements, and the Utilization-focused, Developmental Evaluation approach promoted by DeSIRA-LIFT. As of early May, you will be able to find the bibliography on our resources page.

Please see the annotated bibliography here.
