ABRIGUE, implemented by a consortium of local and international organizations led by the Amazon Institute of Scientific Research (SINCHI, for its name in Spanish), aims to enhance territorial capacities for promoting innovations in agroecology, artisanal fishing, and circular bio-economies in Colombia’s coastal zones and forest frontiers. The project operates on two levels: nationally, it analyzes existing policies related to climate change, agroecology, and science, technology, and innovation, identifying coordination gaps and proposing recommendations. Furthermore, ABRIGUE fosters agroecological innovation in food systems through knowledge dialogues and training, influencing improved public policies. At the territorial level, ABRIGUE supports technical and organizational innovations in agroecology, circular bioeconomy, and responsible artisanal fishing in Chocó, Caquetá, and Meta.
ABRIGUE has been putting together a video collection (in Spanish) of achievements which can be seen here: https://www.sinchi.org.co/galeria-de-videos-abrigue
